On February 5-6 of this year, a meeting was held between representatives of JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" and JSC «NC«Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» to discuss the development of freight transportation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llarii" A.A. Kamiljanov, the Chairman of the Board of JSC "KTZ – Freight Transportation" V.V. Petrov, and representatives of relevant agencies.
During the meeting, discussions were held on increasing the volume of rail freight transportation between the two countries, train formation planning, and organizing the regular movement of trains along the China-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan route.
As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" and the Kazakh company JSC "Kedentransservice." The memorandum aims to utilize existing logistics capabilities, provide transport and forwarding services, and launch container block trains.
