From June 18 to 20 of this year, the 11th International Eurasia Rail Exhibition, one of the largest railway forums in the Eurasian region, was held in Istanbul, Turkey. This event became an important platform for dialogue and cooperation between rail transport manufacturers, infrastructure technology providers, logistics companies, and government organizations.
The exhibition showcased the latest innovative solutions, signaling systems, digital platforms, and sustainable transport models. More than 7,000 industry specialists and official delegations attended the event.
Representatives of Uzbekistan Railways and UztemirYulKonteyner also participated in this prestigious exhibition, holding a series of meetings aimed at strengthening ties in the international logistics market, developing multimodal transportation, and establishing new partnerships. In particular, negotiations were held with the management of MFA Logistics on the development of container shipping along the Turkey-Iran-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan transport corridor, which resulted in an agreement to begin practical cooperation along this route.
Furthermore, negotiations were held with TCDD Taşımacılık and Pacific Eurasia on organizing transit shipments through Uzbekistan in the China-Europe direction. Issues of increasing cargo flows along the CASCA+ transport corridor were also discussed.
A separate meeting was held at the exhibition, dedicated to the development of logistics center infrastructure within JSC UztemirYulKonteyner. Specifically, during negotiations with Said Muhammad, a representative of the Islamic Development Bank, it was noted that, subject to a feasibility study, a grant for the development of logistics centers could be considered.
