For the first time in Uzbekistan, a test run of piggyback (Ro-La) transportation—transporting vehicles by rail using flatcars—was conducted. The project was implemented in collaboration with O'ztemiryo'lkonteyner JSC and Tashkent State Transport University.
As part of the project, vehicles were loaded onto flatcars and successfully sent as part of a freight train from Tashkent station to Hamza station. This type of transportation aims to modernize the country's transportation system, reduce road congestion, and alleviate the burden on road infrastructure.
Furthermore, this initiative is an important step toward reducing CO₂ emissions, ensuring environmental sustainability, and developing green logistics principles.
