On September 9, the first container train departed from Tashkent to Lanzhou along the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China multimodal route. This was made possible by agreements with Gansu International Logistics Group reached during a working visit to China by M.K. Mirkhamidov, Chairman of the Board of JSC UztemirYulKonteyner, in July of this year.
At the event, the launch of a new logistics base for Gansu International Logistics Group Co. Ltd. in Uzbekistan was also announced, aimed at developing international transport and logistics cooperation.
The launch of the new base and the establishment of regular container services along this route will strengthen the region's transit potential, reduce delivery times, and create favorable conditions for the development of sustainable freight transport along the Gansu-Kashgar-Central Asia route.
