On December 27 of the current year, an important event aimed at the further development of logistics and foreign trade infrastructure took place in the Samarkand Region — the official opening of a new closed customs warehouse located on the territory of the “Ulugbek” Logistics Center of JSC “Uztemiryulcontainer”.
The event was attended by the Hokim of the Samarkand Region A.M. Boboev, the Hokim of the Pastdargom District Sh.Sh. Rakhmonov, the Head of the Ulugbek Foreign Economic Activity Customs Post A.M. Kurbanov, as well as representatives of relevant organizations and agencies.
The operation of this customs warehouse is organized in cooperation with the Chinese company Indra Bonded E-commerce Services and is intended for the storage of goods arriving from China, as well as their prompt distribution directly from the storage site.
The customs warehouse occupies a total area of 1,500 square meters and is equipped to handle loading and unloading of cargo from both railway wagons and trucks. In addition, the warehouse is fitted with modern racking systems, allowing for the simultaneous storage of more than 200 tons of cargo. The commissioning of the new customs warehouse will contribute to the efficient organization of export-import operations and enhance the logistics potential of the Samarkand Region.
