ANALYSIS OF VOLUMES OF EXPORT-IMPORT CARGO TRANSPORTED IN CONTAINERS IN UZBEKISTAN IN 2025

By the end of 2025, the volume of container transportation by rail in export-import traffic in Uzbekistan amounted to 355,752 TEUs, a 21% increase compared to 2024.

Including:

🔸 Export transportation – 99,637 TEUs (an increase of 3.5% compared to 2024);

🔹 Import transportation – 256,115 TEUs (an increase of 30% compared to 2024).

The growth in transportation volumes was primarily driven by import traffic, primarily through Altynkol, Dostyk, Magnitogorsk, and other stations. In the export direction, the increase in volumes was largely due to shipments to Magnitogorsk station.

At the same time, in 2025, a slight decline in export and import cargo volumes was observed through Russia's Far Eastern ports, particularly Nakhodka and Vladivostok.

At the same time, new logistics routes were activated during the year. Specifically, container shipping to European countries began via the Georgian port of Poti. Furthermore, a container cargo route was launched from India via the port of Bandar Abbas (Iran) to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
