The first container transportation of goods has started along the international multimodal route China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan.

On October 15, the first international multimodal container shipment departed from Kashgar, China, along the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan route.

This event marks an important step in the development of a new transport corridor connecting China and Europe and contributes to the further expansion of interregional trade and logistics cooperation.

Cargo is transported from Xi'an and Chengdu to Kashgar by rail, then from Kashgar to Osh by road, from Osh to the port of Turkmenistan by rail, and then from the Turkmen port to Baku, Azerbaijan, by sea.

The shipment includes consumer goods, including lighting equipment and mechanical products.

The launch of this route aims to improve the efficiency of logistics processes, strengthen cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative, and establish a new international transport corridor between Asia and Europe.
