On May 23 of this year, the first container train was ceremonially dispatched from the Orient Logistics Center terminal, the Tashkent logistics center of Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC, to the Fuzhou station of the People's Republic of China.
The ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mamanbiy Omarov and the Governor of Fujian Province of China Zhao Long.
The container train, consisting of 50 forty-foot containers with a cargo of yarn, is heading to the Fuzhou station, located in the eastern part of China. The route runs through the Kazakh station Altynkol exp., and the total length of the route is 6,700 kilometers. It is expected that the train will cover this distance in 15-20 days.
