On June 4, 2025, an international conference was held in Munich (Germany) on the initiative of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy on the topic:
"Rethinking Trade Routes: Roadmaps for the Global Gateway Initiative for the Trans-Caspian Corridor".
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uztemiryulkonteyner" M.K. Mirkhamidov, Project Director of the Board of "Rhenus Group" H. Kerstgens, Deputy General Director for Logistics "KTZ Express" A. Kapar, Advisor to the Chairman of ADY E. Mamedov, as well as a number of other experts.
The main focus of the conference was on strengthening global transport links within the Trans-Caspian Corridor (Middle Corridor), diversification of trade routes between Europe and Asia, as well as an analysis of the role and potential of the Global Gateway initiative.
During the conference, the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uztemiryulkonteyner" M.K. Mirkhamidov spoke in detail about the state of the cargo transportation infrastructure via the Trans-Caspian route, existing barriers in logistics, customs procedures, and the possibilities of multimodal transportation. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for expanding international cooperation.
Also during the conference, proposals were voiced for modernizing the corridor infrastructure, implementing digital solutions, developing "green" logistics, and strengthening the role of the private sector within the framework of the initiative.
