On February 5-6 this year, a meeting was held between representatives of JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari" and JSC NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" on the development of freight transportation.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yollari A.A. Kamiljanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC KTZ - Freight Transportation V.V. Petrov and representatives of relevant departments.
During the meeting, issues were discussed on increasing the volume of freight transportation by rail between the two countries, a plan for the formation of trains, as well as the organization of regular train traffic on the China-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan route.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the companies JSC Uztemiryulkonteyner and the Kazakh company JSC "KedentransService", aimed at using existing logistics capabilities, providing transport and forwarding services, and launching container block trains.
